        Calm down. It's not a crime to reinvent the wheel, especially if
you haven't been around here much, and I don't recall seeing his name
pop up as one of the usual folks who hang out here. Besides which,
sometimes people blow off steam by repeating what they and everybody
else knows, and that isn't a crime either.
        Instead of telling him to shut up, which is what your post
amounts to, the real job is to raise his level of sophistication so that
he can go head to head with the enemy instead of preaching to the choir.
        For my part, having watched us lose our rights progressively for
the last 30 some odd years, whenever I run across a fellow thinking gun
owner, I don't complain much if he tells me what I already know.
Instead, I tell him what he doesn't know, and am happy that he'll be
voting my way and maybe with a little coaching be able to convince
others that our position has more to offer than the gungrabbers do.
        In short, anybody who's going our way is a friend and deserves
to be treated like one.
