Mike:
Note at least with the telnet I use on the shell account I use,
the -8 and -E must be specified as separate parameters, each with
their own hyphen and it is a capital E.
As long as your modem connects to your service provider's site,
the modem works, it may be in your telnet parameters or something
else. Good luck.
If I was a telnet guru I'd know if the called site can specify to
the calling telnet program how it wants parameters set.
I know x.25 connections like on Sprintnet can do that and some
hosts do the darndest things.
... Fun, fun, fun, 'til her daddy takes her Blue Wave away!
