    Which all combines to make the welfare state there unaffordable in the 
long run and even in the medium run.
    Here, the problem is that entitlements are putting a giant bill on our 
grandchildren's credit card...but in western Europe and Canada, the system 
itself is likely to financially collapse in less than 20 years.
