Hello
I'll try to answer two questions at once. First, that I am not sure if
Gnucash runs on OS/2 ( originally both Linux and OS/2 were listed as
desired platforms ) since I have not tried to install it yet under OS/2. I
assume my Unix compiler for OS/2 may possibly handle the source file even
if all the runtimes and tweaks making many Xfree86 programs run, doesn't.
Also I've not searched for a ported binary installer for OS/2 direct since
the compiler is my first choice, when it works without severe difficulties.
It does however run handily on my Slackware Linux system.

Whenever I seek Open Source source projects the first places I look are
SourceForge.net and Freshmeat.net. They always list the homepage and
author info as well as a description and often even a rating for the
program offerred. Sorry if this is bothersome to those who don't also run
Linux or who haven't installed X11/XFree86 support, but it's only been 2
years now since I wiped out Windows and I'm still just so glad to not be
running a hostile OS and to have one that is generally friendly with and
even beneficial to OS/2 that I forget sometimes that others haven't
integrated and are still stuck with more "schizo" multiboot
sytems. My box feels unified, in that one OS is useful to the other. I
suppose being a "hardware" oriented forum, this is all OT, which
is why I kept my original response short and to the point.
