First ... it is not either or.
You can do both.
And sadly I am sure that you managed to tip the balance (in the wrong 
direction).

Basically transforming a bit to a more inclusive place would be a good thing.
Minus the obsessive focus on a buggy piece of BBS software and the missing 
atmosphere of constructive debate there. (Something that is much too strong 
here in Fidonet [minus the constructive part].)
