OK, How about some Coffee Filter Butterflies?
Take two "Mr.Coffee" coffee filters, and fold them accordian style like you
were going to make a fan. Then take a "twistie tie" to fasten them together.
With liquid food colouring, you can let the children "dabble" colour on with
brushes, or "Drop by Drop" from the little bottles. Hang them up to dry by
the twisties. When they are dry, you can have the children "form" the little
antenaes from the twistie.
Used to make these with my little ones that we in my daycare several years
ago, and the Mommies LOVED it!
I found that the food colours needed to be pretty intense, or the
"butterflies" looked a little "pale" <
Take care!
