PS> WC> Never saw a recoverable drive Linux couldn't see. PS> WC> This drive isn't seen by Linux. PS>Can you try on a different type of IDE controller, possibly in a different PS>machine? Won't make any Difference. The drive is scrambled eiough that the OS cannot see it. you need to go in with a Low Level probe program, Like the Western Digital Diagnostic program and straighten it out. And I am sure there is a LINUX program thar can do the same thing IF to operator knows what they are doing. In fact as I recal lLINUX has a reputation of being able to straighten out Drives that Windows screws up. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ On a clear disk you can seek forever* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
