Hi Nancy,
RH> And, we will be opening up the first jars any time now. It's to cool
RH> down to the low 60s by the end of the week (but reach 80 mid week) so
RH> winter is coming. Farmer's market will go to winter hours (10-12) on
RH> Saturday.
NB> Hmmmph... cool down to the low 60s.... around here, this time of year,
NB> we're lucky to have it warm up to the low-mid 60s, like it has
Consider that the beginning of last week we had some days in the low
80s. Weather Underground is saying mid 50s for highs this week end tho,
actually a bit below normal.
NB> yesterday and today... it's been more in the 40s and 50s already...
NB> winter's
NB> coming, I suppose, but so far this is more like fall... I am wearing
NB> a sweater more often, though....
We're grabbing light to medium weight jackets. Yesterday for going out
to quilting and voting, I had on a light weight (pull over) sweater and
grabbed my jeans jacket. By the time we went to vote (about 2:30), the
jacket was just comfortable enough but I changed out for a lined
windbreaker about 3 hours later when we went out for supper.
NB> RH>>> I am using it more but for light weight jobs only. Amazing,
NB> RH>>> how even a little bit of pressure down at the hand can make
NB> RH>>> the shoulder area hurt.
NB> NB>>> Gives a keener appreciation for how intricately put together
NB> NB>>> our bodies really are... :) And how interwoven... :)
NB> RH>> Very much so! It's still improving; I can do a little bit more
NB> RH>> each day (stemmed and snapped green beans for supper tonight)
NB> RH>> without it hurting. Still not trying to raise it over my head
NB> RH>> overly much but those times I do, it's doing better.
NB> NB>> Little by little... :)
RH> Yes, and even more improvment since last time you checked in.
NB> That's good news... :)
Good therapy too.
RH> It's still not back to what it was pre break but doing better. I'm
RH> still not stressing it very much but doing a lot of what I usually
RH> do. Still asking Steve to do a lot of things but he's stepped down
RH> from doing as much as he was for a few weeks.
NB> Definitely progress... in the right direction... ;)
Yes, and the doctor thinks so as well.
NB> RH>> Nov. 5 (the baby shower) to get it done so am working on it bit
NB> NB>> by bit. So you'll likely have it done in good time, and not
NB> NB>> stress the arm too much in the process... :)
RH> I'll be working on it for several days this week but since it's small,
RH> it's not too hevy or bulky. Probably a couple of hours tomorrow will
RH> get it almost done, then a shorter session to finish it off.
NB> So did you get it done in time for the shower...? And was it well
NB> received....? :)
Yes, and yes--tho I realised after I was almost done quilting it, that
I'd inverted 2 rows. No significant problem, just skewed the design a
bit but the mom to be loved it anyway. Only one of 2 hand made items at
the shower.
NB> NB>> Speaking of which... 'tis the season for the Milky Way Simply
NB> NB>> Caramels... are you ready for me to grab another bag for you...?
RH> I think I'll pass again this year; I've got a fair amount of sweets on
RH> hand that need eating. Thanks for the offer tho.
NB> Ok.... I'll check again next year... as long as they show up for the
NB> season again... ;)
Sounds good. I'll make sure the only goblin is my gobblin (within
reason) on them. (G)
