MJ>Hi all!
MJ>I am a beginner OS/2 programmer and was wondering if there is anyone
MJ>who can give me some advice on the best place to start.
MJ>I have the Developers Connection CD-ROM which contains all the
MJ>technical references etc. and I also have the IBM C Set ++ compiler.
MJ>However I find the masses of reference material a bit daunting.
Actually I've been know to grizzle about the relative lack of
introductory texts pertaining to OS/2 programming (both from IBM and 3rd
parties) and have been thinking of perhaps filling the niche.
What sort of interest would there be in a "Learn to Program OS/2" series
of text files and supporting source code aimed at the programmer who was
modestly aware of the C language but completely new to OS/2 programming?
I'm not committing myself at this stage but I'd like some indication of
whether it would be worth dedicating the time and effort in an attempt
to bring some new developers into the OS/2 arena.
Just in case there are *thousands* of you out there :-) you might want
to respond via internet email (if possible) rather than clog up
fidonet (bruce{at}qnx.nacjack.gen.nz).
