Found this out the hard way trying to recover a trashed hard
drive for my oldest son's fiance. The HP OEM CD basically wiped
the drive before I realized what it was doing and she lost a
book she had been writing and my son lost 100's of original
music files in the process. Now I'm back to the "dumb old-guy"
status who is no longer asked for advice/assistance. 

To be honest - I almost prefer it this way. ;-)
