BR> I have a WD 80GB IDE (strapped for 32G) that "was" working, but something BR> zapped the Partition Table so linux fdisk and cfdisk refuse to edit same. It BR> seems the size or ending cylinders of extended is smaller than most of the BR> partitions themselves (just the total itself is wrong). I cannot mod the BR> partitions with anything else, though everything else (DOS/Wins/NDD/Ranish, BR> etc.) will "read" it and say nothing is wrong. Any ideas? anything at all ? BR> I can access all data R/W which is good but cannot add/change/delete BR> partitions. :( It's a bit dangerous, but you MIGHT use NDD to patch the MBT to the correct values. With a bit of luck, I did once recover a munged partition table that way - and got all my data back. It helps if you can find an identical drive and copy the table from that...
