Ha! I KNOW the feeling all too well. Shoveled a few loads of mud in the
past two or three days and my body aches from the skin in!! You know, we do
have SOME built-in adjustment mechanisms, mental and physical. When I was
younger I had, at least, the energy the "fight or take flight." Now, I think
THAT energy has suffered some dimunition.
I'm at the stage where I sometimes contemplate writing down all of my
wisdom for the world to read after I'm gone and THEN, I realize how little of
that stuff I really have. Now that doesn't make much sense does it. Our
respective consciousnesses awaken in this world which would seem so very
strange, indeed, were we popped full blown into it all of a sudden, and then
as unremarkably (for most of the rest of us) as we awakened, its lost and we
are then part of that great mix that either is destined for something on an
evolutionary scale or lacks any final meaning whatsoever and we don't really
know which.
I think the people who bore me the most are the ones who give me the
startling information that the evangelist who knocks somebody flat of
her/his/its back doesn't REALLY heal (grin) or that the Loch Ness monster
sightings are usually illusions (double grin). I'll tell you one thing; if
that space ship ever lands in MY back yard and offers me a ride, I ain't
onna
tell NOBODY else about it (well, maybe YOU, Day!).
Sincerely,
                                     Frank
