1996 started off badly here.
Last time I was out here (a LONG time ago, shame on me) Fran asked me
about my crazy dog, and if he'd been chewing stuff up again. Fran, I
think you jinxed me.  Tesla began having MAJOR panic attacks again
after the holiday break (hubby and I both had a week off--messed up the
dog's internal schedule). I have spent the evenings and weekends of the
first 2 weeks of January trying to get Tesla settled down again. So far
so good, he's doing OK again. But we may have to bring in ANOTHER
greyhound to make him feel fully secure when left behind when "his"
humans leave. I certainly hadn't planned on TWO, but if it'll make the
ONE mentally more stable, it's worth it. 
Right after I got a handle on THAT problem, I got into trouble at work
(the wonderful cable company). I complained about a consistent problem
with our levels of customer service. Bad move. Instead of fixing the
problem, they fired me last Monday. So now I'm spending my time pavement
pounding/resume mailing, and finances juggling. 
I STILL have three adorable, sweet, talking, lovable baby cherry-headed
conures who desperately need to go to loving homes.
Sorry to be such a downer, and so terribly off-topic (!), but I figured
that those few of you who know who the moderator really IS  might
have wondered where I went to!
Now that I have more free time , I promise to check in regularly and
keep an eye on things. But please excuse me if I don't have much to say
for a little while. I figure it's better to be quiet than depressing.
