BC++ Rules. I have version 1.0 and if you ignore the bugs, it's great. I imagine they've fixed them by now. IT allows you to make pm and vio type programs, it does not make DOS applications, but if you want to recompile your dos programs into os/2 vio programs (and they were written in borland) this is definelty your best way to go. I ported my BBS from BC dos to BCos2 in about 2 days. The bulk of the change was serial communications stuff which os2/ has built in. All the goofy functions like dostounix and stuff like that, not quite standard C, all exist in the os2 version. In the help there's a list of things that don't exist, and they're mainly Dos specific stuff. --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: OS/2 Shareware BBS, Fairfax, VA: 703-385-4325 (1:109/347) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 109/347 2 7 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
