Useful information. ;) I bought a second hand computer i while back and the vendor installed WIN/ME on it for me so i could check out the hardware. I suggested that he need only install it on the first partition and i would let Linux have the rest. To my surprise he said it would be easier if he formated the entire disk. As it was a new 80gig H/D i assumed he was going to use NTFS but when i got it home it reported WinFAT32. When i started chopping it up for Linux i used what i thought was 4gig for the ME and the rest Linux. Something was a miss though because although Win fdisk reported 4gig ME could only see and use 2gig. Anyway i don't like using operating systems on my computers that i don't legally own so after Christmas i shall see if i can pick up a cheapy with a proper WIN2000 install and see what the situation is. As an aside i was appalled at the security holes and the amount of patching it needed.
