I'm opting for Alpha Omega for everything except Math (Saxon) and Language
Arts (original McGuffeys). When Saxon Phonics comes out for homeschoolers in
December or January, I'll use that, also. My children have been using Saxon
Math and Saxon Phonics for two years now in public school, and I have been
nothing short of thrilled and impressed with it.
I chose Alpha Omega mainly because I need something that doesn't require me
to do a lot of preclass preparation. I know a lot of people who use A Beka,
though, and many of the private schools here use it, also. I wouldn't think
you would go wrong with either one.
