On Thursday, 1994-11-10 Stu Mark wrote to All about "print to file" as follows: SM> Second: Does anybody know how to get os2/ to NOT ask you SM> for a file name when you want to print to a file. [?] Hi Stu, When you open the printer device context by callinng DevOpenDC() you will pass it the address of a DEVOPENSTRUC which contains a field called pszLogAddress - the very first field in the structure. If you set this field to the address of the fully qualified path/file name (in ASCIIZ) to which you want to print, it will use that instead of LPT1: (or whatever), provided the device driver for that spool queue has been written to support this. If the printer settings include a "print to file" option then this should be so. If you aren't writing the code yourself you might be SOL. ... :-( Regards Dave * KWQ/2 1.2g * Macintosh: Just like Nintendo but fewer games available. --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: OS/2 Shareware BBS, Fairfax, VA: 703-385-4325 (1:109/347) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 109/347 2 7 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
