I see your point, and I admit that I'm biased because of raising a girl. She
is twenty now and engaged to a very fine young man. I would be very
interested in the opinions of adults who don't have children to see how much
different their opinions would be. I would hope there wouldn't be complete
apathy on the subject of protection of children just because the adult
doesn't have any children. I'm sure there would be a certain degree of
apathy, but I would hope for a large degree of care, even from single adults
with no children. Maybe I am too biased in this area because of my positive
experiences in my own community.
