No, I do not.

No, not the only reason. But echomail is and was an important driving force in
Fidonet. And although it may not always have looked that way at the time, when
looking back I can see that despite the differences and the friction between
competing CSOs, the system of echomail distribution that we had here actually
worked pretty well.
