RC>AL> I'm having a problem with something and was wondering if anybody could
RC>AL> help. I use Terminate. I used to call this one board all the time,
but
RC>AL> now, for some reason, when I call it, it starts coming up black and
RC>AL> white and says ANSI not detected. Then it goes,"Enter your FIRST and
RC>AL> LAST Name:" Then, my computer starts sending a whole bunch of crap
nd
RC>AL> I can't even type my name in. I usually have ANSI. I thought maybe I
RC>AL> accidently changed some configurations on Terminate, so I tried again
RC>AL> with HyperTerminal. Same result. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot.
This probably happens because on connect there's no error correction b/w
the 2 modems. This happened to me once when I called my public library.
The crap is line noise. Try calling again and make sure that error
correction is not desabled on you're modem.
