As I told Dave, Navy.  My father was career USAF (US Army Air Corps when he
started, pre-WWII).  When I decided to enlist, 1965, I looked around, saw that
2 services tend to throw themselves at the dirt/mud when the shooting starts,
and my dad was not to high on the USAF after he retired.  So I joined the Navy
where it's usually warm, and unless something really bad happens, dry, with 3
warm meals per day.  Went work for the Feds, first for the Forest Service.  I
retired as a System Administrator for the Alaskan NORAD Region, mostly
networking/UNIX, sorry I don't do fruit computers plus I stayed as far away as
I could from anything MickeySoft.
The tours over so currently I'm in Rome where it started/ended.  I leave
tomorrow to go spend the night in Sydney before continuing on to Noumea for 6
nights and later Suva/Nadi for another 5 nights there.  Been to France, done
that, etc.  Time at Jacquie and Ian's was so successful they left town shortly
after I did.
