Its possible that W2k SP3 made a modification to NTVDM.EXE that is native
to the one that XP has. I didnt have the issues with Allfix/U under W2k,
but then I was only running Sp1.

Couldnt you transfer the registration for his U version over to the DOS
version and give him a key for the DOS version?
