Hi Iain,

Sounds like what Ed was [mis]remembering.  I don't have the drive 
capacity on the VAIO that I hook up to the Camcorder [iLink-1394], to 
discover that 4GB limitation, but I know that the Digital-8 tapes I took 
in US/Canada/Caribbean/Canalzone/etc. in 1999 equate to about 300TB of 
HD-space, at 2GB per 9 min 30 sec of video [for editing]! :-D
