subject: Good week

It's been a good week in politics:

1. Once again our fearless president demonstrates the thoroughness of his
staff's vetting process by naming Charles Freeman as Chairman of the
National Intelligence Council. Freeman, a flaming antisemite, withdrew his
nomination after ABC's Jake Tapper ran stories about this bizarre man. In
withdrawing his nomination, Freeman said this: "The libels on me and their
easily traceable email trails show conclusively that there is a powerful
lobby determined to prevent any view other than its own from being aired,
still less to factor in American understanding of trends and events in the
Middle East. The tactics of the Israel Lobby plumb the depths of dishonor
and indecency and include character assassination, selective misquotation,
the willful distortion of the record, the fabrication of falsehoods, and an
utter disregard for the truth." You probably didn't read or hear this story
because His Highness Courtier Press, with the exception of Tapper, did not
cover it.

2. Our joke of a Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Willy, travels to
Europe, Russia and China on state visits. While in China, Willy utters not
one word about human rights but instead begs China to keep buying our debt.
While in Europe she says this: "I have never understood multiparty
democracy. It is hard enough with two parties to come to any resolution, and
I say this very respectfully, because I feel the same way about our own
democracy, which has been around a lot longer than European democracy." I
wonder if Katie Couric plans to go after this bumbling airhead over this
bimbo comment like she went after Sarah Palin? Speaking of her:

3. First pictures have surfaced of the love child of John Edwards, former
US Seantor, vice presidential candiate and presidential candidate. The
mainstream media are more concerned that Bristol Palin and her fiance have
broken up, so you probably didn't hear about the Edwards love child.

4. Obama promises to usher in a new era where blame, scapegoating and the
politics of personal destruction have no place. And immediately he, scumbag
Carville and pollster Greenburg declare war on Rush Limbaugh, a private
citizen. Now the children who run the DNC, with the tacit approval of the
child boss, have bought a billboard targeting Limbaugh. Not hearing much
about this in the mainstream press. I wonder how they would have reacted if
GW had gone after Michael Moore or Pinch Sulzburger? Speaking of him"

5. The New York Times just sold their private jet.

6. Obama suspends a GW executive order that prohibited the government from
spending money on embryonic stem cell research. Obama says that such
research will no longer be hamstrung by "ideology." You'd think
that bright
young man like Obama would understand the semantic distinction between
"ideology" and "ethics." As Otto says. Guess not.
