subject: Nodelist

RS>> Can you ZIP up a nodelist for me please. I want to setup FD for
 RS>> FREQing.

PE>> Is there something wrong with using lha?

RS> Yeah thats fine thanks, just using the term generically.

Perhaps it's you that's had the humour bypass? It was there all along, I
was being funny.

PE>> You should be able to get it off your local board, he must have a
 PE>> nodelist, even if it isn't a complete one (e.g. zone3 only).

RS> Nodelists are only used by netted BBSs, standalones dont use one. Most
RS> dont even have mailers in front of them.

Fair enough, now that you have the nodelist, you can keep up to date by
using a nodediff. Do you have a program to update the nodelist?

PE>> Quite difficult to parse that last sentence, but YES it would be a
PE>> good idea, you can use 3:711/934.2. I'll send you netmail as to what
PE>> password to use. I have put POINT.LZH in BBSSOFT also. I'll hook you
PE>> into 1 message area (messages between users) as well, whilst you try
PE>> to figure things out. You may want to try FREQing POINT.LZH for your
 PE>> tests.

RS> Thanks for all that. I may leave it till the weekend to actually do some
RS> testing. I get the cheapest possible phone rates from 6pm till 8am and
RS> all weekend so weekends are more convenient for testing.

I hooked you in to Aust_C_Here as well. Haven't redirected all netmail to
your point yet though. I'm packing your mail with ARC at the moment, I'll
change to ZIP sometime. BFN.

Paul
