ML> and wouldn't you know it... i decided to beat on it again and be
ML> damned if i didn't get it to work as desired! [sigh] it was a
ML> convoluted process but i do now have it coming up in true 80x50
ML> mode instead of 80x50 stuffed into an 80x25 window like it had
ML> been doing... it took a combination of settings in syncterm and at
ML> least one or two to the pif (again) specific to starting
 ML> syncterm...

NB> Good to hear man. If there were something wrong, I would have let
NB> Deuce/Stephen know for you, since you don't seem to frequent any
 NB> echos he does.

he/they are not in any of the synchronet echos??? hummm...

ML> this is one time i'll say "thanks for pissing me off" though
ML> it wasn't you personally that go me going but that a piece of
ML> software apparently knew better than i did what i wanted :)

NB> I know what you mean. When someone tells you something works, you
NB> have to try it again for yourself. :)

well, yes... but 'd been fighting this thing since max decided to give
synchronet a try... my previous telnet terminal software was lost on a
farkled OS and i haven't had time to track it down for rejuvenation... such
as it is, i've rather been forced to look at some new stuff that i honestly
didn't care to try to deal with but i guess that one of the costs of
becoming a cantankerous old fart :/

NB> I must give credit where it's due, though, Both Rob and Stephen are
NB> very smart guys, and if bug reports/feature requests are
NB> respectable, I'll be damned if they don't fix them right there on
NB> the spot that it's received by them.

i know... that's one of the main reasons why i participate in the synch
echos now... much the same reason why i participate in the DB support area,
as well...

NB> Now.. back to PCBOARD discussion, or lack thereof. :)

yup! there is that to look forward to :P -=B-)
