Well, they day draws neigh! I've finished packing, including removing
our cats from the suitcases so they'll close. Marta's at her last day of
work. It's almost time to go!
My boss called me at 2pm this afternoon and asked if I would work the
New Years Party. "It's only from 6:30 to 1am, you'll be home in plenty
of time to leave first thing in the morning," she says. I am more than a
little proud that I managed to tell her no without laughing at her or
using obscenites.
We had our cat sitter come by for a rules review. She remembers them,
but our three cats needed the refresher. We have already said last rites
for our houseplants--she's great with cats, terrible with plants. You
can tell which we value more.
I have made arrangements with the sysop of this board to post regular
reports from the World (and get my downloads, too). Feel free to ask if
there's anything you would like us to check out for you. It won't be
quite as much fun as having you all with us, but it will have to do.
