G'day fellow bastards, Well, I've just found a really good OS/2 port of XTree Gold, but the bloody executable has an expiry algorithm coded into it. Although it comes up as expired when I run it, if I reset the system date, it runs a treat. I've tried disassembling it and looking for the relevant code, but so far I've had no joy. As the newer version doesn't appear to be available anywhere, I'd like to get this one working, and wondered if anybody knew of a way to overcome the problem (i.e. how to hack the code). If it's beyond me, I'd be quite happy to upload the file for perusal.
