no, they did not... they were filtered and converted...

i see three dots... looking at the raw PKT on my main system, there are
also three dots... 0x2e or ALT-46... sbbs systems can filter and convert
characters >=128 to 7bit and it seems that the system you are using is
doing that... i don't recall if it is a user setting or a system setting,
though...
