I'm sure you know this Dave,  but I'll point it out for the lukers:  A
"detached" process (one running in the invisible "screen
group 0") can use VioPopUp() to come to the foreground temporarily.

The title of this message was "rexx";  I do not know if there is
a built in way to call VioPopUp() from a rexx program,  but I am sure it is
possible with an extension dll.
