Quite the contrary - no P4 CPUs. In AMD mainboard designs, the CPUs are
commonly fed from +5VDC, so the isolated +12VDC circuitry remains
capable to take the high spin-up currents.
Just a comment from an owner of a 5-platter, 8-headed oldie.
