I don't really know how typical my W2K install is but my guess
would be that for those who are knowledgeable and do some
tweaking W2K is much the same as it is for me? 

The level of expertise for Linux users vs Windows users is
probably going to favor the Linux users. Average users have
unstable systems regardless what OS is installed on their
machines (my opinion).
