Good point. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.

There are several stories, one was that it was shot of by one of Hitler's
armies, but there are other stories/theories as well.

This is quite possible.
PF> But what's happening about excavating around it? Anything yet?
A chamber has been located sesimically underneath one of the paws,
and I heard that a small hole had been drilled and a tiny TV camera
and light was lowered into it, but I do not know what was found there,
and the Egyptians are refusing permission to dig a tunnel to it for
excivating (SP?) it. There is also evidence, (seismic), that a second
chamber may be located under the first, but no confirmation has been made
at this time. The always-reliable Art Bell has done a couple of
shows on the subject. There may be some further information on it on his
web site. (Well, the web site wom a Webbie award.)

Considering several factors, including the fact that it is in the middle
of a desert - almost no rain - and most of the erosion of the Sphynx and
the Pyramids was obviously caused by thousands of years of rain,
(including much HEAVY rain!), I tend to agree with you! I feel that the
chances that the Egyptians are nothing more than caretakers of those
priceless objects, not their creators, is very high, though not totally
certain.
Catch you later... Keep l00king up!
