subject: Tender - Inflatable?

A 2 hp motor for a dinghy of that size is likely to be underpowered,
particularly if there are mroe than two adults aboard or the water is
at all rough.
I have a 4.5 on my 8.5 ft. inflatable and a bit more hp would not
would not come amiss. Inflatables are easier to pack away, stow on
deck, etc. and there seems to be a better market both for buying and
selling than the rigid type. Of course, you can get an inflatable
with a hard hull. Inflatables are probably somewhat easier to lift and
manoeuvre, too.
They probably are more susceptable to damage and, of course,
punctures. Unless, every penny is of prime consideration, try to
stretch for an Avon, followed by Zodiac, the Metzeler and then others.
