Seems to be standard, sysops don't even necessarily get much feedback!

I like what Ken Weitzel has done with at least one of his doors (Mille
Bournes clone for Wildcat):  the door collects feedback/etc. within the
door and forwards it to the sysop for the sysop to forward on to him
(via whichever means the sysop has at his convenient disposal(netmail,
email)
