Hello Martin !
MA> Maybe there is a DOS/WIN utility that will solve Waynes problem but
MA> since the disk can't be seen by DOS it may not be fixable.
There is and it sits between any user's ears. You can not fool
these idiotic machines. They answer to any call as they are
programmed.
MA> The problem i'm having is Wayne has it as G:\ and that is no good
MA> when things go pear shaped. Perhaps if he moves it to C:\ DOS/WIN
MA> may be able to fix it but so will Linux.
When I had a similar problem, I placed the guilty HD as D:\ on
my system and then had full access to it.
MA> I had a similar problem when i overlapped partition boundaries on a
MA> WIN/ME machine. Neither DOS or Linux could see the WIN partition from
MA> the command line.
Not for me this L****x thing. I have my hands full as it is
using a fine GUI, XP Pro and/or Home.
JP> Remember, we are not all wizes in this endeavour.
MA> Gee iv'e never been called a wize before. :-) I am like you i learn
MA> by trial and error.
The way that I was taught English is that WIZ in plural is
wizes. So you are a wiz, not a wize. ;-)))) Sorry ! Like echo and
potato, echoes and potatoes ( ??? ). We are having fun, no ?
Hurrah for Tom W. He got to Read/Reply
OFF LINE.
