JE>Thank you for reading this long post....
I'm on hold right now; waiting to talk to Dennys' customer
service rep. I'll also check out every Dennys I go into. Thanks
for posting. Ernie P.
Update! Just talked with Dennys' Resourse Protection V.P.. He
said Dennys *had* decided to post "NO GUNS" signs; THEN realized
they were trying to protect their customers against the sort of
people who won't obey signs; NOT legal gun carriers. They are
ALREADY in the process of taking down the signs. However, they
CANNOT force their franchised owners of individual restaurants
to follow this policy. The corporate Dennys restaurants WILL NOT
post "no gun" signs; the locally owned restaurants will do what
they like. Your quarrel is with the *local owners*; not Dennys.
It sounds to me as though Dennys thought it through and did the
right thing. We *should not* blame Dennys for local policies
they cannot control. The local owners are, however, a valid
target. Go get 'em; and good luck. Now, wonder what *my* local
Dennys has to say? Ernie P.
