Not at home, no. At work they had printers hooked up and I
would print hard copy _there_ (work related).

Then I'm guessing the "ttyS0" wasn't entered into the dialer?

I don't recall right now what Linux uses for parallel ports but
as with "ttyS0" there is a designation for parallel ports as
well.
