VX-Rexx does not have any serial I/O calls built in. There is a Rexx DLL
(with source code) called RXASYNC.ZIP. It has a bunch of rexx async i/o
calls. It is also public domain (free). I haven't used it, but the
description looks pretty good. If you want a copy, contact me at
