HI Tim..
-=> Quoting Tim Dill to Tom Anderson <=-
TD> 1985 I was only 24..... and heading for the bottom very quickly
TD> and enjoying every minute of it and justifying it too!
How we can remember those years and many times would just as soon forget.
I
suppose it's important to remember so that we don't decide to go back. It's
easy, and I think most of us do it, to remember the good memories of
happenings
in our lives. With us we *must* be congnizant of what we came from and where
w
go if we don't keep our act together.
TD> not knowing that in only four years I would hit the doors of AA...
TD> and in 5 years get my first day sober (1-1-90)
An early (but then how fast is the e-mail?) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you!!!!
Your date is the easiest of all to remember. You picked a heluva day to do
it.
I used to have a listing of anniversary dates but it got old and so many of
those people aren't around anymore. I tossed it out. But yours I had in
mind.
You'll be starting your 6th year now? My 7th is Jan 18 which I consider my
tru
sober date. I still go with the 3 year in AA tho', I did have a drink later
on
TD> and I was one of the lucky ones...... I stayed despite slipping and
TD> sliding around the first 90 days there... and still got sober before
TD> the age of 29.....
My son is getting his 3rd next week. I'm so proud of him. Like you he
didn't
waste MOST of his life. He was 28 when he found his way. He's doing great.
I sent another note to you too but just in case...Happy Christmas to you.
Love and [[[[HUGS]]]
Andrea
