Hello Ross. 28 Jul 04 17:25, you wrote to me: MG>> The more someone like you tries to tell me to "shut up about it", the MG>> more I am going to speak up about it. Your arrogant attitude does MG>> nothing to help promote the use of fidonet.net. Quite the opposite; it MG>> in fact turns people off from using it. RC> But there is no use in getting the blood pressure up.. RC> If both ways can work?? I'm not against anyone using it. What I'm against is listing wihtout placing contact information in the nodelist. Each system is autonomous; they have the right to choose whatever domain services they want. They have the right to choose to respect policy, which states thet the nodelist defines Fidonet. As a result, if they choose to use the nodelist as their solitary source of contact information, listing a node without placing any contact information in the nodelist and expecting everyone to consult fidonet.net instead causes connectivity problems for those people who make those choices. --- GoldED/W32 3.0.1* Origin: MikE'S MaDHousE: WelComE To ThE AsYluM!
