I'm not against anyone using it.

What I'm against is listing wihtout placing contact information in the nodelist.

Each system is autonomous; they have the right to choose whatever domain
services they want. They have the right to choose to respect policy, which
states thet the nodelist defines Fidonet. As a result, if they choose to
use the nodelist as their solitary source of contact information, listing a
node without placing any contact information in the nodelist and expecting
everyone to consult fidonet.net instead causes connectivity problems for
those people who make those choices.
