-> Perhaps as far as using LINUX for the Internet. But I jsut have too many
-> windows programs that I am VERY comfrotable with and am TOO old to learn
-> New Tricks.
-> And as far as User Account Security just how much does one need when
-> they are the EXCLUSIVE user???

Initially logging on as root gives you ALL priviledges
and access to the computer as well as anyone savy enough to surf
on in and place rootkit onto your system.

At that point anyone anywhere essentially owns your machine and could
exploit it with any sort of illicit activity leading right to your
doorstep.

Creating a user account other than root gives you a huge security
advantage at trivial difficulty.

It's also very easy to crash your system as root user
or otherwise make a huge mistake.

Very powerful O.S.
