Hi, Robin--
Lynda Coats is the author of the "Far Above Rubies" curriculum for high
school girls. I haven't seen her here for many months, but I haven't
been checking consistently.
I think most of the people from a couple of years ago have moved on to
the Web and Usenet discussion areas. I'm spending most of my computer
time at Kay Crowley's "Homeschoolers' Curriculum Swap" website, where
individuals may buy, sell, and discuss about curriculum. The URL is
http://www.theswap.com .
Sorry to hear of your family's health troubles, and I pray that you will
all continue to improve. We've been enjoying our two sons as they've
branched out into new arenas this year. Our oldest (14) has been
auditing college classes, and did very well with a part-time load. He
finished first-year college German, which is equivalent to two years of
high school German (according to his professor, who is my husband!).
Our youngest (12) has been training hard this year in his chosen sport,
ballet, and we're very pleased with the excellent Christian male
role-models he has at the ballet school. Half of his class is
homeschooled.
