Ya practice that sort of stuff, starting when first learning to fly, but it is
fun! The pilots in the video have probably lost track of how many thousands of
hours they've flown, I know a guy who flew 747 cargo and he has.
The first time I did it on purpose was because the turnoffs to the parking area
were about halfway down a 7500' runway. At the time I was flying a 152 which
would have landed about 3000' away if I'd done it the textbook way, and I
didn't want to taxi that far. Plus tie up the runway for all that time. Get
down into the ground effect and loaf along at about 60, 3' up or so (I'd guess
60, I haven't flown since 1986 since when the FAA pulled my medical for simply
having a heart attack, inflexible creeps :-). Also while flying a Super
Cub/185 on floats, aka seaplane (interesting flying down a river looking up at
the tree tops). Plus when I was doing skis IIRC the process was to "land" far
enough to never put full weight on the skis, then go around and look at the
tracks to see if there's water in them. Then go around and finally land.

Food...hmmm...When I did that landing in the 152 we'd gone to Homer for the
weekend, stayed with some folks we knew on their boat, and did a little
shrimp/halibut fishing. When I was getting my training flights in the 185 the
instructor and I lugged our wives out to a lake and did some Salmon fishing.
Best I can come up with.
