Just a comment
Considering some drives have one jumper setting for "single
drive" and another for "master with slave" as well as a
"slave" position for the secondary it is important to read any
manufacturers data regarding jumper settings. Also considering some
manufacturer's "less than optimally compatible" nature with some
other manufacturer's drives, I for one will be only too glad to embrace
SATA for "lacking" that "feature" alone. It would be
nice to know of any data that either OS/2 or ECS pages tout regarding SATA
compatibility. I can't recall if everyone who has written in this forum so
far on this subject has solved their problems or not. Perhaps we could
have an SATA consensus for what works and what doesn't so far?
