Hi Nancy,
RH> And held for several days before putting up. We probably should
RH> have bought them the day we left. But, they'll still taste good
RH> this winter.
NB> Ah, that also explains why they didn't escape totally unscathed... ;)
NB> And, having put them up, you will indeed enjoy them this winter.. :)
We got some a few years ago and did the same thing. This time I think
the peaches were a bit riper to begin with.
NB> NB>>> Did Steve take the bad ones back to Harris Teeter....?
NB> RH>> No, just added them to the compost bucket.
NB> NB>> I might have wanted to let them know that they were that bad,
NB> NB>> in case they cared....
RH> Yes, but we had other things to take care of, and my fall/break threw
RH> us out of sorts for a few days.
NB> Ah, yes, that would throw a monkeywrench into things... ;)
Quite so, but smoothing out now. Getting used to the temporary new
normal. Not fun but knowing it's short term makes it more bearable.
NB> RH>> before we served supper. They unwound some more by doing the
NB> RH>> clean up afterward, before going down to Barre for maple
NB> creemees. NB>> Sounds quite pleasant.... :)
RH> Nice to have the clean up done for us, and the chance to sit & visit
RH> with those not needed for the clean up. Getting creemees the first
RH> night in VT is traditional as we understand.
NB> Like getting ice cream cones (and poutine) is a tradition with our
NB> mission teams to Quebec... ;)
Probably so. (G) I think some of this year's team got a creemee every
day/night of the time we were in VT.
