I've seen both the "Main Street Electrical" and "Spectro Magic" parades.
They're both good shows, so don't hesitate to stake out your spot on the
curb for SMP.

Absolutely!
OTOH, you may not fall in love with SMP the way we did with MSEP. The
music (what isn't from the movies) is unmemorable, and there is no
unifying theme, with the possible exception of the characters with the
glowing heads.
Don't get me wrong, SMP is a very good parade by Disney standards, and
the technology is clearly a generation beyond that used in the MSEP.
It's just that the MSEP is a *very* hard act to follow.
