If I remember correctly, winhelp.exe is refered to as a 'help compiler', 
however MS supplies two other apspp and one is called 'shed.exe' and is 
refered to as a 'hot spot' editor.  The other is a something like MSBN.exe - 
is suppose to be some kind of 'bit map' editor or something.  Not sure hjow 
any of this works together at this point.
 
Sorry to hear winhelp.exe is a night mare.   It may become mine.  Also glad 
there is an alternative - forhelp.  Thanks.
