123c53adb6aa tech Hello Tom - CA>> I seem to recall that the settings can be saved to a CA>> floppy? TW> Yes there is a way you can store some of the Setup on a TW> f;loppy. BUT first you need to make the fool program work TW> properly FIRST. I have only made two tries and was TW> unsucessfull both times. One time I couldn't get it to TW> print a document. It did the printer test fien though. I haven't used a printer on my computers in over 15 years and did not make an exception when testing the KNOPPIX CD. TW> And in both tries I coldn't get it to connect to the TW> Internet. Adn that was the REASON for wanting a linux TW> machine. To have a Lean and Mean Internet machine. I have only winmodems here right now and cannot test that function of KNOPPIX. Would that be the problem for you as well (only winmodems)? TW> Adn incidently I have a copy of Corel Wordperfect for TW> LINUX(My favored Wordprocessor) incase I live long enough TW> to make Linux work o none of my computers. KNOPPIX is very good at auto-detecting hardware compared to other Linux 'installs'. You should be able to find someone who can assist you if you have a hardware modem. For the printer problem I really can't say why it would not work for you. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ --- * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
