subject: CELL PHONE MONITORING

HG> The St Pete Times has a couple of reporters working on it.
HG> per the times:
HG> a. radio shack hand held purchased a couple of years ago.
I've heard 5 different versions, the most common has the guy getting the
scanner as a birthday present just a short time ago.
HG> c. The cell phone recorded was a politition traveling(not
HG> Newt). Newt and the other 1 (or two) were stationary.
The cellphone caller was stationary (in a 'pancake house'), according to the
caller, a Gingrich staff member.
HG> Questions: 1. Is it possible to use an old scanner to
HG> receive both sides of the cell phone conversation? Are two
HG> needed.
One is fine, as long as the call in made to a 'landline' phone.
HG> 2. Would it jump between freqs as the conversation changed
HG> from person to person?
_IF_ the person moved out of range of a cell, then it would switch freqs.
... Have you drug tested YOUR legislators today?
